These Terms of Use govern your access to www.routineandreason.com and your use or purchase of the products, resources and services available through the website.

The website is operated by Gusto and Co, LLC, doing business as Routine and Reason (“Routine and Reason,” “R&R,” “we,” “us” or “our”).

By using the website, creating an account, placing an order, downloading a product or requesting a service, you agree to these Terms of Use and the policies referenced within them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority where you live to make a purchase. A person under 18 may browse or use the website only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian.

If you use the website on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.

Our Products and Services

Routine and Reason offers physical merchandise, digital products, personalized astrology reports, free resources and consulting or related services. Product availability and service offerings may change.

We make reasonable efforts to describe products accurately. Colors, packaging, editions and other details may vary slightly from what appears on a screen. Natural, handmade or small-batch products may also have ordinary variations.

References to a third-party brand, author, publisher or maker identify the source of a product and do not imply a relationship beyond the one stated.

Orders, Pricing and Payment

Prices are shown in US dollars unless otherwise indicated. Applicable taxes, shipping charges and other costs will be displayed during checkout when possible.

By submitting an order, you represent that:

The information you provide is accurate
You are authorized to use the selected payment method
You agree to pay the total shown at checkout

An order-confirmation email acknowledges that we received your order. It does not guarantee acceptance or availability.

We may refuse, limit or cancel an order because of suspected fraud, pricing or inventory errors, product restrictions, unusual quantities or another legitimate business reason. If we cancel an order after payment has been collected, we will refund the canceled amount.

Payments are processed by Shopify and other payment providers made available during checkout. Your use of services such as Shop Pay or Afterpay is also subject to the provider’s terms and privacy practices.

Shipping, Returns and Promotions

Shipping and delivery are governed by our Shipping Policy. Returns, exchanges and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Both policies form part of these Terms of Use.

We ship only to destinations available during checkout. International customers are responsible for customs charges, import duties and local taxes unless checkout expressly states otherwise.

Promotions, discount codes, gifts with purchase and gift cards may have additional terms. Promotions cannot be combined unless stated and may be changed or withdrawn before an eligible order is placed.

Digital Products

When you purchase a digital product, Routine and Reason grants you a limited, nonexclusive and nontransferable license to use it for your own personal, noncommercial purposes.

You may download, save and print a reasonable number of copies for your personal use. You may not:

Resell or commercially exploit the product
Share the file or access link with others
Upload it to a shared drive, website or public platform
Reproduce, modify or distribute it as your own
Remove copyright or ownership notices

Digital purchases are subject to the digital-product provisions of our Refund Policy. Once a digital product has been delivered or made available for access, it is generally final sale.

If a file is incomplete, corrupted or inaccessible, contact hello@routineandreason.com so we can correct the problem.

You are responsible for confirming that your device and software can open the file format described on the product page.

Personalized Astrology Reports

Astrology reports are prepared using the information you submit. You are responsible for providing an accurate birth date, birth time, place of birth and any other requested details.

If an error in a report results from incorrect information supplied with the order, additional work or a replacement report may require a fee. We will correct errors caused by Routine and Reason without additional charge.

Astrology is an interpretive practice. Reports are offered for informational, educational and reflective purposes and do not guarantee a particular prediction, event or outcome. They are not substitutes for medical care, mental-health treatment, legal advice, financial advice or another licensed professional service.

Delivery estimates for personalized reports appear on the applicable product page. Because work may begin shortly after purchase, cancellation or refund eligibility is governed by the terms shown with the product and our Refund Policy.

Consulting and Other Professional Services

Information about consulting or individual services on the website is an invitation to inquire and does not by itself create a client relationship.

A consulting engagement may be governed by a proposal, service agreement or other written terms. If those terms conflict with this page, the signed service agreement controls for that engagement.

Consulting is educational and strategic in nature. It is not psychotherapy, medical treatment, legal representation, financial advising or another regulated professional service. You remain responsible for your decisions and the implementation of any ideas discussed.

We cannot guarantee a particular personal, professional, financial or business result.

Free Resource Library

R&R may provide articles, prompts, guides, audio and other resources without charge. Free access does not transfer ownership of the material.

Unless a resource states otherwise, you may use and print it for personal, noncommercial purposes. You may not resell, republish or distribute the material or use it to create a competing product.

We may revise, replace or remove free resources as the library changes. We do not guarantee that a particular resource will remain available indefinitely.

Product Use and Safety

Tea, body care, essential oils and other physical products should be used only as directed on their packaging or product page. Review ingredient and allergen information before use and follow any warnings supplied by the manufacturer.

Stop using a body product if irritation occurs. Questions involving allergies, pregnancy, medication interactions or medical conditions should be directed to an appropriate healthcare professional.

Website content and product descriptions are general information. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent a disease and should not be used as a substitute for professional care.

Nothing in these terms limits any warranty, remedy or consumer right that cannot legally be limited.

Ownership and Intellectual Property

The website and its original content—including text, graphics, photographs, audio, video, downloads, reports, branding and design—are owned by or licensed to Gusto and Co, LLC d/b/a Routine and Reason and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

We grant you a limited, revocable and nontransferable right to access the website for personal, lawful use. Except where these terms or applicable law permit otherwise, you may not reproduce, republish, sell, distribute, modify or commercially exploit our content without written permission.

The names and content of third-party books, products and brands remain the property of their respective owners.

Reviews, Comments and Other Submissions

If the website allows you to submit a review, comment, photograph or other material, you retain ownership of your original content.

By submitting material for publication, you grant Routine and Reason a nonexclusive, worldwide and royalty-free license to use, reproduce, format and display it in connection with our website, products and marketing. This license allows us to resize an image, correct minor formatting or quote part of a review without changing its meaning.

You represent that you own or have permission to submit the material and that it does not violate another person’s privacy, copyright or other rights.

Submissions may not contain unlawful, threatening, discriminatory, misleading, infringing or promotional material. We may decline or remove a submission, but we are not required to monitor everything submitted.

Private communications, consultation materials and information submitted for a personalized product are not treated as public customer content under this section.

Prohibited Conduct

You may not use the website to:

Violate a law or another person’s rights
Submit false, fraudulent or misleading information
Introduce malware or harmful code
Interfere with the website’s security or operation
Attempt unauthorized access to an account, system or data
Scrape, harvest or collect information through unauthorized automated means

Place fraudulent orders or abuse promotions, returns or payment disputes

We may suspend or block access when reasonably necessary to protect R&R, its customers or the website.

Third-Party Services and Links

The website may include third-party tools, payment options, social-media features or links to other websites. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Your use of a third-party service is governed by that provider’s terms. A link does not necessarily constitute an endorsement.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, free resources and general content are provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

We do not guarantee that general editorial, educational or reflective content will be complete or suitable for every person or circumstance.

Products and paid services remain subject to applicable product descriptions, written service agreements and consumer-protection rights. Nothing in this section excludes a warranty or obligation that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gusto and Co, LLC d/b/a Routine and Reason will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary or consequential damages arising from use of the website, including lost profits, lost data or loss of opportunity.

Our total liability for a claim involving a purchased product or service will not exceed the amount you paid for the product or service giving rise to the claim. For a claim involving only free website content, our total liability will not exceed $100.

These limitations do not apply to fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, personal injury caused by our negligence or another liability that cannot legally be limited.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Gusto and Co, LLC d/b/a Routine and Reason against third-party claims, losses and reasonable expenses arising from your unlawful misuse of the website, your infringement of another person’s rights or material you submit in violation of these terms.

This section does not require you to indemnify us for our own negligence or wrongdoing.

Copyright Concerns

If you believe material on the website infringes your copyright, email hello@routineandreason.com with:

Identification of the copyrighted work
The location of the material in question
Your name and contact information
A statement explaining your good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner
Your physical or electronic signature

We may remove or restrict access to material while reviewing a credible notice.

Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the website when a user materially violates these terms, threatens the security of the website or engages in fraudulent or unlawful conduct.

Terms concerning intellectual property, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability and dispute resolution survive termination where their nature requires it.

Events Beyond Our Control

Routine and Reason is not responsible for a delay or failure caused by events reasonably beyond our control, including carrier disruption, natural disaster, widespread service outage, government action, labor disruption or failure of a third-party platform.

This section does not remove any refund or consumer right required by law.

Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Before filing a claim, you and Routine and Reason agree to make a reasonable attempt to resolve the matter informally. Contact hello@routineandreason.com with a description of the concern and the resolution requested.

Unless applicable consumer law requires otherwise, legal proceedings arising from these terms or the website will be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.

Nothing in this section prevents either party from bringing an eligible matter in small-claims court or seeking urgent relief involving intellectual property, security or unauthorized access.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use when our products, services or legal obligations change. The revised terms will be posted with a new “Last updated” date.

Changes apply prospectively from the date they are posted. When required by law, we will provide additional notice of a material change.

General Provisions

These Terms of Use, together with the policies and service agreements referenced within them, form the agreement between you and Routine and Reason concerning the website and applicable purchases.

If one provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.

You may not assign your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may assign these terms as part of a merger, reorganization, asset sale or other lawful transfer of the business.
